  • What is your approach to therapy?

    I work to gain a wholistic perspective of my clients by exploring their current circumstances and how the past shows up in the present. I create a safe environment for people to explore their inner world, and collaborate with them to change what’s no longer working for them.

  • "I don't need therapy, other people have it worse."

    This is a commonly held belief by many people, and especially people of color and children of immigrants. There are varying degrees of pain, and it’s all valid.

  • Who do you work with?

    I work with adults, especially children of immigrants, helpers and people who are coming to therapy for the first time.

  • What types of issues do you specialize in?

    I specialize in people who are dealing with anxiety, depression, intergenerational trauma, issues with over achieving, burn-out and career changes.

  • What if I'm nervous to start therapy?

    That’s a common reaction to doing something new! I’ll work with you to find a way for us to create a safe space together.

  • What is your rate?

    For adult, individual therapy, my rate is $160 per 50 minute session. For couples (two individuals) my rate is $175 for 50 minutes session.

  • Do you offer telehealth?

    Yes, I offer HIPAA compliant telehealth. I also see clients in-person at our Echo Park location.

  • Do you accept insurance?

    Unfortunately, no, but I do accept HSA (Health Savings Account).

    Additionally, I can offer Superbill, which can be submitted to insurance companies for reimbursement. or through our service Mentaya. For both Superbill and Mentaya, reimbursement is determined by your insurance company.

  • How do I receive sliding scale services from you?

    My sliding slide spots are limited, and may be full at the time of your request. If you’re interested in a reduced fees, I’ll conduct a financial assessment with you before we begin our work.

  • Why don't you accept insurance?

    This is because many insurance companies require an immediate diagnosis for treatment, and sessions may be limited by insurance. I prefer to work for clients long term and take a non-pathologizing approach. here
